Who Are We?
The International Foundation for Waqf Development (IFWD), aims to uplift communities through charitable initiatives. Rooted in the spirit of Waqf— Islamic endowment for the public good—we are dedicated to fostering Islamic spiritual uprightness, social welfare, education, and empowerment. Our work extends beyond providing immediate relief; we strive to create long-term opportunities that enable individuals and families to lead dignified and self-sufficient lives.At International Foundation for Waqf (Endowment) Development, we believe that everyone deserves a chance to thrive. OUR OBJECTIVES

ZaKAT
Through our Zakat board, we receive Zakat from Muslim donors and distribute it to worthy beneficiaries as business grants to scale their businesses to the level which will allow them to give back to the society.

WAQF
We manage and coordinate the establishment of waqf (endowment) projects on behalf of interested individuals and donors. Projects such as the building of mosques, building of schools and orphanages, and construction of industrial boreholes in underserved communities.

SADAQAH
We initiate charity outreach for vulnerable individuals in the society such as widows, divorcees, orphans, individuals struggling with debts, students struggling with school fee payments, and the needy.

1. What is the International Foundation for Waqf Development?
We are a Nigerian non-governmental charitable Muslim organization dedicated to improving the spiritual and physical lives of our beneficiaries through sustainable initiatives. Our work focuses on Islamic education, food security, financial aid, and community development, all rooted in the principles of Waqf (Islamic endowment for the public good). We strive to create long-term solutions that help individuals and families achieve dignity and self-sufficiency.
2. How does IFWD support Muslim orphans?
We provide scholarships to orphaned Muslim children, ensuring they have access to quality Islamic education. Our goal is to give them the opportunity to build a better future, equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in life and the hereafter.
3. What kind of food aid do you provide?
We distribute food and financial assistance on normal days, and during Ramadan, Eid, Arafah Day, and other important occasions to support widows and those in need. We also provide free Iftar and Suhoor meals throughout Ramadan and distribute cows for Eid Adha so families can partake in the celebration.
4. Do you only focus on charity, or do you also help people become self-sufficient?
While we provide immediate relief, we also focus on long-term empowerment. We equip individuals with the necessary resources, skills, and opportunities to improve their livelihoods and achieve self-reliance. Through our Zakat initiative, we give business grants to Muslim business owners to scale their businesses. Our goal is not just to help but to uplift people for a sustainable future.
